These days people are looking for ways to unwind and relax after a hard day at work. Yoga, meditation, and pilates events are ways that you can help support your residents and remind them why they chose you.

Spin or Biking

Whether you are looking to cycle indoors or out, this popular fitness class is something your residents want.

You can do this event with or without bikes in your gym. Here are a few ideas:

  • Partner with a local cycle studio to do an in-person class either at your community or in their studio. You can make it themed for some extra fun!

  • Start a biking club for residents that own their own bikes and take different routes around the city as a pack. This is a great way for residents to bond.

  • Do a virtual spin class using a fitness app. For example, encourage your residents to join an upcoming live Peloton class and have them change their bio to have your apartment’s name. This way you can spin together virtually from the comfort of home.

  • Giveaway a FREE Peloton or other stationary bike. Use it as an opportunity to increase your social media following and engagement by encouraging residents to like your posts and tag a friend in the comments to enter.

Running or Walking

Location and proximity to walking trails is a huge factor in determining where people live. Remind residents why they chose you, by hosting events that encourage them to get on their feet (we hope that song gets stuck in your head all day long).

There are so many other types of fitness activities you can do at your community. If you aren’t sure what to do, you can always poll your residents on social media and see what’s most appealing to them.

Remember, you don’t have to do this alone. Partner with local instructors or gyms to host these events at your community. They will benefit by getting exposure to your residents and you benefit by providing value to your residents so they can’t imagine living anywhere else.
