Summer is about floating your cares away at the pool with a book and a cold beverage. Having a great pool party doesn't need to be an ordeal. You can easily fill up your pool with some Instagram-worthy floats and have a cart or cooler with some cold beverages. Your residents will post with the floats and do your marketing for you.

UNDER THE SEA PARTY
Here is a great opportunity for an in-person party or virtual event. Host watch parties at your clubhouse for fan-favorite events or shows. Poll residents ahead of time to find out what they’d like to watch together.
In-Person:

Virtual via Social Media:
Share the Shark Week show you are currently watching on social media and ask residents to comment their reactions in the comments, too.
Beach-Themed Scavenger Hunt
Another EASY event! Host this one completely on social media. Use a beach-themed post and a list of beach items to invite your residents to participate in a scavenger hunt.

Popsicles are a budget-friendly way to give your residents a treat and to show appreciation (hello, renewals!) Here are a few easy ideas to use popsicles at your community this Summer.
“Pop” up at the pool and pass out pops for a cool treat
Have them at the office to pick up when they pay for rent
Store some in the clubhouse freezer and invite residents to help themselves
Stock the freezer in your model with popsicles and offer them to prospects when you tour

Ice cream events are perfect for Summer! Host an ice cream party to let your residents
BRING IT TO LIFE
Send out invites for your event
Purchase:
a few containers of different flavored ice cream
ice cream scoopers, bowls, napkins and spoons
few packages of fresh-baked cookies
all the toppings (sprinkles, fruit, candy and cereal are great options)
Optional: Go the EASY route with pre-packaged ice cream bars or sandwiches that residents can pick up and enjoy.
Take photos on the day of the event to publish on social media

Yes, please! The donut industry is booming and we are here to try all the new flavors (as well as the classics… and even the ones we don’t really like). National Donut Day is June 4, but this event is a hit any day of the month.

Summer Bucket List

Coffee On Us
If you follow us on Instagram, you know this one has a special place in our hearts. We hope you’ve had a coffee on Sprout!
DO IT NOW IN A FEW EASY STEPS:
Download Our “Enjoy your coffee on us” Instagram Stories Video.
Decide how you’re going to provide them coffee. A few options:
Highlight your free resident coffee bar.
Get a bunch of gift cards in small amounts to the local coffee shop.
Purchase a gift card through Starbucks (we recommend doing a smaller initial amount and adding to it later so no one uses the whole thing). Enter your own email address as the recipient. Open the email and select “Redeem my eGift now.” Take a screenshot of the barcode only. Post the barcode with your Instagram Story. They can scan the barcode at the store the same as they would a gift card.
Post the video to Instagram Stories and overlay your text with how they get their free coffee. Make sure they know it’s first come, first served until it runs out!
CHALK IT UP
Outdoor events are still the safest events and we love this summertime event for the kiddos!
DO IT NOW IN A FEW EASY STEPS:
Order sidewalk chalk or pick it up at your closest store. Place it all in a cute bucket or do little to-go kits and place it outside the leasing office.
Download our design to spread the word! Bonus points for snapping pics and sharing the artwork on your social media pages.
Alternative: Chalk contest
Either have your residents take pictures of their artwork and tag the community or have them write their apartment number next to their drawing and you take and post the pics.
Post all the entries on social media for the community to vote on a winner (the one with the most likes, etc wins).
Announce the winner and send them a prize!

Put together cute bags of treats that residents can pick up and enjoy on their own time!
GUESS HOW MANY
A Sprout-favorite! Fill up a jar, ask residents to guess how many, and announce a winner!
