November is centered around the 4 Fs: family and friends, food, and fun! A potluck is a perfect way to bring all of these together for your residents.
Events that allow your residents to get to know their neighbors and your team are the key to keeping them around. Follow the steps below for a virtually stress-free potluck event.

Order your food, drinks, plates, cutlery, napkins, and decor. Decide if you will cater a portion of your potluck to keep things simple.
Get the word out to your residents and remind them to RSVP and signup for what they are bringing.

Customize the design early to have plenty of time to promote your event.
Download and print our potluck sign-up list and put it in the leasing office with pens.
Post the list on social media, email and your resident portal and encourage residents to stop by the office by a certain time to sign up.
Order your food, drinks, decor and other supplies listed below. Decide if you will cater a portion of your potluck to keep things simple.
Email those who signed up to let them know when you need their dishes to be at the event.
Post reminders about signing up to bring a dish & RSVP for the actual event on social media. Our recommendation is 2 weeks, 1 week and 1 day before the event.
Print out the “Memories Sign” and put in a frame.
Decorate your buffet-style table with plates, cutlery, napkins and hand sanitzer. Leave plenty of room for your residents’ dishes.
Create an area for drinks that is separate from the food.
Strategically place trash cans around the room to make it easy for your clean-up team.
Take lots of pics!
