BATCHING CONTENT
We know you have so much on your plate, so we are sharing some of our favorite ways to batch content so you always have what you need when you need it.
What is content batching? It’s when you set aside a specific time to do one activity…in this case content.
Content? Speak english please. When we say content we mean things you need for social media like captions, graphics, community photos, videos, etc.
What’s great about your Sprout membership is that we already have 90% of this done for you with our digital calendar. Here you will find our tips to do the remaining 10% as quickly as possible.
Sprout’s Tips For Batching
-
We recommend setting aside time to schedule posts to your feed 2 weeks to 1 month in advance.
At Sprout we use Facebook to schedule to both Facebook & Instagram. See directions on how to get this set up HERE.
Block about an hour out on your calendar on a day where you usually feel the most fresh - like Tuesday mornings first thing.
-
The key to great content is having fresh photos and videos at the ready. You could use your professional community photos, but getting a few new photos each month can be done quickly.
Set aside 30 minutes each month to gather new photos for social media. This way instead of spending hours trying to get a million photos - just see how many you can get in 30 minutes.
We recommend having a theme for the photo sessions that tie back to a lifestyle element: fitness, pets, work from home, outdoors, cozy at home, etc.
-
Use your unit walkthroughs to both check to ensure the unit is ready to be shown, but also to film a virtual tour.
To make it easy on yourself, don’t try filming the entire tour in one clip. Split it up into smaller clips of each space like living room, kitchen, bedroom, balcony, etc. This way if you make a mistake, you don’t have to redo everything.
Download all the videos and make sure the file names are like this “A1 - Living Room”. As you keep doing this, you will have a bank of all your virtual tours so you don’t have to do them again.
-
Meeting the team is an important part of your social media strategy. Pick a day for “picture day” at your office, so you can get pictures of your team while everyone is looking their best.
Here are some ideas for photos:
Individuals on a blank wall
Individuals outside in portrait mode
Videos of each person in action working
Funny photos or videos. Think Full House intro or you can brainstorm other trends beforehand.

Make posting to Stories, Reels, and TikTok just part of your routine. This way it is part of your daily schedule without being a major time suck.
We recommend taking 5-10 minutes after you return from lunch to post to these areas. Check out our weekly breakdown below for ideas.
