Ready for Business

Your leasing office may be open but are you really ready for business? You might think, well, if our leasing office is open, obviously, we are ready for business, but is that really true? Are we ready like it's showtime every time?
My journey might be similar to yours—I became a property manager young and inexperienced, but full of tenacity. At my first community, I immediately spotted every flaw: broken blinds, potholes, a failing fence—everything screamed for attention. But over time, I grew lax and started seeing the property through rose-colored glasses, delaying fixes because I knew residents might undo them, swerving around potholes out of habit, and ignoring the worn-out fence. The problem was that while I’d driven that community countless times, prospects were seeing it for the first time, noticing every imperfection. First impressions happen in 30 seconds or less, so it’s worth asking: Am I still seeing my community clearly, or have I slipped into looking through those rose-colored glasses?

Remember, leasing apartments is like putting on a show. When our doors open, it's showtime, baby!

Watch the video and learn some practical tips on ensuring your tour route, your show unit, and leasing office are truly ready for business!
