Resident Fill the Gratitude Bucket
This event invites residents to share the little (and big) things they’re thankful for on paper and drop them into a community gratitude bucket. It’s a simple way to spread some cheer, make gratitude contagious, and remind everyone that the best things in life are worth giving thanks for.
Set Up Your Station: Place a festive bucket in a high-traffic area with slips of paper, pens, and a sign inviting residents to share something they’re thankful for.
Spread the Word: Promote the activity through resident emails, social media, and community signage. Encourage residents to write down anything they’re grateful for, from family and friends to pets and little everyday joys.
Share the Gratitude: During Thanksgiving week, randomly select a few notes and record a Reel of your team reading them aloud. Keep responses anonymous unless residents give permission to be identified.

Invite residents to share what they’re thankful for in person or virtually by posting messages or photos on social media using your community hashtag, or by texting their top three things they’re grateful for. Compile the responses into a short gratitude video to showcase the heart of your community—a fun, interactive way to help residents feel connected, even from afar.
