Everyone knows the saying, “May the Fourth be With You!” Invite residents to join the dark side, complete with cookies and a movie night. Did you know? May is also Star Wars Month, full of 31 days of Star Wars! This event can be done at any time!
Choose Your Location – Choose from indoor, or set up a projector and speakers outside or near the pool and invite everyone to bring a chair or blanket (weather permitting).
Pick the Movie – Choose a classic Star Wars movie or fan-favorite episode from the series. Make sure it's family-friendly to include all ages of residents.
Create the Theme – Deck out the space with Star Wars decorations and use themed snacks and drinks, such as "Yoda Yums" (cookies) and "Dark Side Drinks" (sparkling sodas).
Snacks & Refreshments – Offer popcorn, cookies, and themed treats like “Jedi Jell-O” or “Wookiee Cookies.” You can also provide a fun DIY drink station with sparkling water and other refreshments.
Host with Energy – Have an enthusiastic team member or resident introduce the movie and invite everyone to participate in a fun Star Wars trivia or costume contest before the movie starts to build excitement.
