Plant Exchange
Sharing is Caring
Help your fellow gardening-enthusiast residents kick off spring by hosting a plant exchange—swap plants, share tips, and grow a sense of community as we welcome the season of blossoms and greenery.
Steps to Host Your Plant Exchange:
Encourage Participation – Choose a weekend or early evening and host in the clubhouse, courtyard, or outdoor common area. Make it easy for residents to drop in. Ask residents to bring a plant, cutting, or seed packet to share. Offer a “starter table” with a few plants from management to spark interest.
Set Up Swap Stations – Use tables or designated areas for different types of plants: flowers, herbs, succulents, or veggies. Label sections clearly to make browsing easy.
Add a Learning Twist – Include a mini “tips and tricks” corner where residents can share planting advice or quick DIY ideas for home gardening.
Fun Extras – Provide small pots, soil, or plant markers as giveaways. Add light refreshments or music to create a festive, social atmosphere.
Capture the Moment – Take photos to share in the community newsletter or social channels—it inspires participation in future events.
Pro Tip: Kick things off by contributing some plants or cuttings to attract attention and encourage participation—sharing is contagious! 🌱
